Darren grew up in North Vancouver surrounded by native art and culture. He began carving in 2004 under the direction of Ray Natrall and Klatle-bhi, both well known carvers.

Darren carves masks in red cedar and alder, and helped carved a 32' ocean going canoe in the summer of 2004.

Darren is an ambitious young carver who's eager to learn and establish himself in the art world, which you can see in his careful attention to detail and finish.
